Gain a comprehensive update on pressure injury/ulcers including pathology, extrinsic/intrinsic risk factors, staging, appropriate interventions, review of CMS guidelines.
Current Nutrition Recommendations and Interventions to Promote Wound Healing
Speaker : Evelyn Phillips, MS, RD, CDE
Learn the role of inflammation in malnutrition, skin breakdown and poor wound healing.
Review of the updated 2019 NPIAP’s Nutrition Guidelines for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers/injuries. Learn if zinc and vitamin C are now recommended to promote healing.
Cost – Note increase effective Fall 2019 due to increases in food and facilities at the NJHA.
