Dietetics in Health Care Communities of New Jersey (DHCC of NJ)

About DHCC of NJ

Our organization is a volunteer group made up of Dietitians/Dietetic Technicians who either live or work in the state of New Jersey.

Our purpose is to establish a regular and frequent mechanism to keep dietitians aware of current issues and information relevant to their work and interests; to provide a greater visibility for the dietitian within the structure of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the national level of DHCC.

Our group is a proud member of the NJAND Alliance Partnership.

Dietitian/Nutritionist Licensing Act

We wanted to provide clarification on the enactment of the Law. As you know, it has been over a year since the law was signed. The Board has been meeting monthly to write the necessary guidelines.

According to DCA, licensure will not be required until the Board has officially been appointed as there are 2 vacancies remaining and the regulations adopted. Anticipated adoption late this year or early 2024. Last updated, April 2023.

Updates will occur through the NJ Academy Eblasts or you can contact our legislative chair, Sylvia Lacsina.
